Half Moon Bay Brewing Company Brews Classic Motor Head Ale
Every year the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company celebrates the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show by brewing up a special batch of Classic Motor Head Ale, and this year Brewmaster James Costa has re-engineered this special brew to celebrate the hop bite of a classic West Coast IPA.
The Classic Motor Head Ale is the official beer for the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, Sunday, April 29 at Half Moon Bay Airport, and will be available at the Brewing Company beginning in April.
This refreshing ale is in the style of a West Coast IPA bursting with aromas of grapefruit rind, resinous pine, and lemon zest, with a malt backbone that enhances the hop bite featuring Centennial, Cascade and Chinook hops. The Brewing Company will also have Kolsch on tap, an easy drinking, lightly hopped ale with a slight herbal hop finish from German Tettnang and Hallertau Hops.
Selected as one of America's Best Coastal Breweries by Coastal Living magazine, one of America's Best Beach Bars by Travel + Leisure magazine, and as having one of the best clam chowders outside of New England by Food Network, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is situated on picturesque Pillar Point Harbor overlooking the Marina in Half Moon Bay.
With its warm, wood-toned interior, expansive windows to the ocean, and walls dotted with surf memorabilia, the 6,000-square-foot restaurant and bar is reminiscent of a typical California surf shack.
The Brewing Company expertly pairs a family-friendly, come-as-you-are atmosphere with a winning combination of fresh, sustainable seafood, home-brewed beers, live music and an expansive, dog-friendly patio area with blazing fire pits to keep patrons warm on the waterfront. We are open 7 days a week with brunch on weekends from 10am-3pm.
